9 December 2019 – Mussolente, Italy: SCICON Sports, the leader in high-performance eyewear, bags and accessories for professionals and enthusiasts, has partnered with WorldTour cycling team NTT Pro Cycling and NTT Pro Continental Team from 2020 on a two year deal; providing riders and staff with their high-performance range of eyewear and luggage options.

This year saw the introduction of SCICON’s high performance and premium sports lifestyle eyewear ranges. Featuring SCN-XT photochromic lens technology, in partnership with Essilor Sun Solution, the AeroComfort, AeroTech and SCICON’s lifestyle sunglasses will be worn at WorldTour level by NTT Pro Cycling and their Pro Continental feeder team.

NTT Pro Cycling’s ranks boast such riders as Victor Campenaerts, Edvald Boasson Hagen, Michael Valgren and recently crowned Under-23 world champion Samuele Battistella. NTT Pro Cycling technical staff were impressed by the capabilities of SCICON’s products, subsequently choosing them as the official team partner for both eyewear and bags.
More than 50 SCICON products have been developed with the insight of professional athletes, soigneurs, sports directors and mechanics. The ASG Group, owner of the SCICON brand has also finalised an agreement with ASG Bike Science to become the Official Bike Fitter of NTT Pro Cycling.

It is great to be working with ASG, having seen them grow from South Africa to now operate on a worldwide scale.”

SCICON has already planned an NTT Qhubeka collection that will soon be available to support the Qhubeka project.

In 2009, after graduating in Sports Science and driven by the desire to find the perfect synergy between a cyclist and his bike, Niklas Quetri decided to create his first bike fitting studio. From biomechanics to functional evaluation and preparation, Niklas applies anatomical science and knowledge in a structured approach, inspired by the latest scientific studies, whilst avoiding obsolete practices.
